Electricity, gas, mobile plan, internet box, home insurance, streaming platforms, gym … Accumulates subscriptions quickly and not always with the most competitive offer. But due to lack of time or fear of embarking on tedious steps, it is sometimes preferable to postpone the termination of these services. Quit spending money every month unnecessarily …

The start-up decided to fix the problem by taking care of the paperwork in your place. Among them, Cherpas, launched in Rennes in 2019. It analyzes your energy and / or telecommunications subscriptions and intends to find the offer best suited to your needs.

To do this, the consumer downloads a bill (for example electricity) on the company’s platform. An algorithm analyzes when it consumes its expenses and compares the offers of competing suppliers.

For Bertrand Jermann, co-founder of the start-up, this service responds to “A real need”. Typically, on electricity: “The price per kilowatt hour is much more difficult to grasp for a consumer than the essence”, he believes. The company’s offer, he says, saves time for the consumer who no longer has to study offers. “Dozens of suppliers with very different contractual terms: full-time / off-peak offers, regulated tariff, fixed or market-indexed price…”

Home, car, borrower insurance …

La jeune pousse bretonne wants to offer that service for guarantees. It is in this segment that Balio has developed an expertise. In 2019, this start-up incubated by insurance agent Allianz optimizes your subscriptions in energy, telecommunications and insurance.

Elle aiguille, especially users of insurance, housing, car, motorcycle, borrower, health … “These contracts are complex to decrypt, each insurer having its own language, analyzes Rodolfo Contreras, co-founder of Balio. As a result, we sometimes have surprises when an accident occurs and we learn that insurance does not cover this or that. » To avoid disappointment, the user specifies his needs: a mutual society that reimburses well orthodontics or a car insurance that includes assistance in case of failure, for example. By combining the algorithm and expertise of its advisors, Balio promises to find the most relevant offer.

Carry out administrative procedures

If these companies find an offer you want to join, they take care of everything from terminating your subscription to subscribing to the new one. “Anumiți operatori put barriers at the exit, like sending a registered mail, to decorate their subscribers to leave. Our goal is to relieve the consumer of these tasks. ”explains Edouard Alexandre, co-founder of Ideel.

Created in 2019, this Parisian start-up positioned on energy, telecommunications and insurance, ensures that 75,000 users have already been changed by their approval.

A watch over time

Comme Ideel, at nantaise start-up Origame allows you to centralize your subscription on the same platform, have a view of the financial ensemble and deactivate a click.

Another interest of these start-ups is a long-term watch. Once you’ve filled in your subscriptions on their platform, they’ll let you know if one of your carriers is announcing a rate hike or if they see a more interesting offer than the one they posted six months earlier.

The user does not pay any fees. To get paid, these start-ups charge a commission to the operators when they bring in a new customer. They ensure that they prefer the most interesting offer for the consumer, not the one that will bring them the most. On the user side, facing these companies does not affect the price of subscriptions.

These young shoots plan to expand their services to further reduce bills. Ideel, for example, is developing on streaming, gym subscriptions, leisure, press and bank charges.
