Tarare. A Fresh & Small Budget cooking workshop for over 60s

This workshop is part of the second phase of the food cycle and low budget funded by the Conférence des Financeurs du Rhône.

On Tuesday, July 26, the town of Tarare hosts Fifteen Seniors for a cooking workshop on the theme “freshness and small budget.” The meeting will allow you to discuss with the participants the question of the economic cuisine, based on fresh, balanced and seasonal products through a friendly and gourmet moment.

Participants will be greeted by dietitian Anne-Laure Bonnassieux practicing in Tarare. Alongside them, they will receive concrete and adapted advice in order to balance their diet while respecting their budget. In a second phase, accompanied by Pierre Mazuy, local chef, the participants made a complete menu in advance of fresh seasonal products. Acquire new culinary techniques, discover the transformation of good raw products, think about the impact of food on health and get tips and tricks for everyday eating in an economical way will be the driving force of this friendly afternoon. Each participant will be able to bring home tasting portions as well as the recipe sheets presented, the statement concluded.

At the Silver Fourchette mission

At the initiative of the Groupe SOS Seniors association in 2014, the Silver Fourchette national program promotes a Health & Pleasure diet for seniors and their caregivers.

Silver Fourchette is present in fifty French departments, in order to educate in a pedagogical and playful way the subject of the prevention of malnutrition of seniors. It is more necessary than ever to bring this topic to the attention of as many people as possible, to unite around the question of the pleasure of eating, and to enhance the whole project of food and seniors in the different partner departments. On display of departmental programs: information and awareness actions, moments of sharing and experiences as well as concrete learning (kitchen workshops).

To propose at the Rhône funders conference

The Conference of Financiers for the Prevention of the Loss of the Autonomy of the Elderly was established by law on the adaptation of society to aging on December 28, 2015. Presided over by the Department of the Rhône, it aims to mobilize and bring together the actors of the prevention of the loss of autonomy, coordinate the actions of prevention on the departmental territory and develop new actions of prevention and opens the white zones. The members of the Rhône Financiers Conference are the Department, the Agence Régionale de Santé, the CPAM, the CARSAT, the MSA, the RSI, the AGIRC ARRCO, the ANAH (Agence Nationale de l’Habitat), the Mutualité Française, and voluntary Community Communities. For the implementation of the action plan, the Department benefits from financial support from the CNSA (National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy).
