– In Yverdon, Bell’Italia met with the cuisine of the settlements
The former Italian Circle of Yverdon has been transformed into a restaurant by Federico Caravaggio. Its trattoria serves regional dishes from the Botte transalpine.
Pizza, pasta, wine and that’s it? Non! Holy God, la carte d’un restaurant italien is not limited to this Sainte Trinité. Even in Switzerland. And Federico Caravaggio will not say otherwise. The native of the Marches (on the Adriatic coast) took over the former Italian Circle of Yverdon this spring to make it a trattoria.
So of course, his Bell’Italia offers several of these must-haves of transalpine cuisine (margherita at 14 fr., 4 seasons at 19 fr., Spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino for 18 fr. 50 or garganelli alla puttanesca at 22 fr. 50), but it is even more worth a visit for its less awaited forays into the regional gastronomy of La Botte.
