Volodymyr Zelensky presents a medal to Patron, an explosives detective dog

Volodymyr Zelensky has turned a bomb detector dog into a war hero. This Sunday, the Ukrainian president presented a medal of honor to Patron, a 2-year-old Jack Russel member of a Chernivtsi demining team, TF1 Info reports. His master was also decorated.

The animal has the flair to detect explosives and it already has a good track record. According to his master, the specialized dog has already found 200 explosive engines dropped by Russian soldiers since the beginning of the conflict in February. The Ukrainian president described the national hero as “a small but very famous sapper.”

Justin Trudeau is invited

Volodymyr Zelensky was not the only head of state, with Justin Trudeau at his side. The Prime Minister of Canada pays a surprise visit.
